Fading Echo turns water into your most powerful weapon

Fading Echo launched on PlayStation 5 on September 22. Players take control of One, a young hero trying to save the fractured world of Corel from the Paradox. Her most unusual ability is becoming Æther, a water-like form that changes both movement and combat.

That transformation lets One slip through gaps, travel through pipes and attack from above. Water also interacts with hazards such as lava and toxic waste. Emeteria describes encounters designed around testing these combinations, with the environment offering alternatives to a fixed sequence of attacks.
