Sea of Thieves adds a new way to call for a truce

Rare’s Season 21 update for Sea of Thieves introduces a flag intended to make player encounters more conversational. Equipping the Parley Pennant tells nearby crews that a ship is open to talking, with alliances and shared activities among the possibilities.

The announcement accompanied Talk Like a Pirate Day events, rewards and a limited free-play window. Some promotions have specific dates and regional conditions, so they should be treated separately from the update’s lasting gameplay additions. The source contains those original schedules and participation details.
